Welcome to Little Voices Learning Lab: LV (Pediatrics)
Specialized Program for Children
Little Voices Learning Lab is a specialized program led by a speech-language pathologist, designed to cater to two distinct groups of children. The first group consists of children with speech and language delays or impairments. Here, the primary focus is on enhancing their ability to effectively and efficiently communicate their wants and needs. Through playful and child-centered activities, these children engage in interactive sessions that target various aspects of speech and language development, tailored to their individual needs.
Enrichment for Typically Developing Children
In addition to supporting children with speech and language delays, Little Voices Learning Lab also offers a program for typically developing children whose parents wish to further enrich their communication skills. Although these children do not have any existing speech or language issues, the program offers them opportunities to enhance their communication abilities in a supportive environment. Through engaging activities and structured play, they develop important communication skills such as vocabulary expansion, expressive language, and social interaction.
Play-Based Approach
In both groups, the program emphasizes a play-based approach, recognizing the importance of children's natural inclination towards learning through play. Sessions are carefully designed to be engaging and enjoyable, fostering a positive learning environment where children feel motivated to participate and explore.
Support for Parents and Caregivers
"Little Voices Learning Lab" extends its support beyond the children to include their parents, family members, and caregivers. The program provides resources, guidance, and strategies for them to effectively support and reinforce the learning experiences at home. By involving the entire support network, the program aims to create a holistic approach to speech and language development, ensuring lasting progress and success for the children involved.
